About Gerald S. Wood
For the past 18 years Gerald has been in private practice counseling, Gerald has been involved in helping people for over 40 years. He has a genuine desire and passion to assist people in reaching their full potential to live a full and meaningful life according to their God given gifts and abilities. Whether it be dealing with emotions, relationships, stress management, self-esteem issues or any number of other concerns, you will find a caring and sensitive environment at

Gerald is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation by the State of Tennessee.. He is also a National Certified Counselor as granted by the National Board of Certified Counselors. He has a Master's Degree in Community Agency Counseling, from the University of Memphis, a Master's of Divinity Degree for The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Union University.
In his spare time, Gerald enjoys playing the guitar, playing golf, exercising, and spending time with his wife of 47 years, his two married daughters and their families. He is especially proud of his five grandchildren.
